# Activity Feed

The feed tells the story of your money in plain language instead of hex strings. Every payment in or out of your account is there, easy to skim.

## Reading an entry

Rows are written for people, not for parsers:

```
Sent $50.00 to @maria, Confidential
Received $1,200.00 from @acmepayroll, Confidential
Agent payment to api.market, $0.004, via @yourname/research-bot
```

Agent payments are marked with a visual tag, so you can always tell whether a charge was made by software or by you, even though both come from your account. When machines are spending money, that distinction has to be obvious.

## Payment states

| State       | Meaning                                                               |
| ----------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `Confirmed` | Recorded on-chain and final                                           |
| `Pending` | Sent and waiting for a block; this normally clears in under a second. |
| `Failed` | Did not settle, and no funds moved. You can retry with a single tap. |

***

## Filtering

You can filter the feed by:

* Date range
* Asset (USDG, ETH)
* Direction (sent, received)
* Type (human, agent, or DeFi when it launches)

***

## What you see and what others see

The amounts appear decrypted to you because your account's decryption key is yours. Anyone looking at those same transactions from the outside, a block explorer included, finds only two addresses and a ciphertext they cannot decrypt. You get the full picture; they get nothing readable. For how this works, see [How Amounts Stay Encrypted](/privacy-and-cryptography/encrypted-amounts.md).

***

## Exporting your records

When you need records for bookkeeping or taxes, go to **Settings → Export → Transaction History** to export your complete decrypted history. The export is produced on your device using your key, so Sectoral never has access to the plaintext. Your records only leave your device if you choose to share them. See [Showing Proof of a Payment](/privacy-and-cryptography/proving-a-payment.md) for more.

***

## Verifying on-chain

Each entry links to its underlying Robinhood Chain transaction. You don't have to trust us: you can check on the block explorer that the payment went between those two addresses, although the explorer will never reveal the amount.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.sectoral.xyz/using-sectoral/activity-feed.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
